Date Turtles
Get your dose of fiber this holiday season substituting caramel in the classic turtle recipe with dates.
Ingredients:
- 10 chopped pitted dates
- Pecans
- Your choice of melting Chocolate
Method
- Cut open your dates put the sticky part on top.
- Put 5 pecans on the date, 4 for the feet and 1 for the head simulating a "tuttle" .
- Put melting chocolate on top and let cool for a bit.
- Turn turtles around and cover the dates with chocolate and let cool.
- Let cool and enjoy.
