Who We Are
We are a family-owned company founded 35 years ago that is passionate about farming, specially medjool dates. Here at honest to date we reflect our passion in every date box we pack, we love what we do and that is reflected in our products. Our main goal is to provide a quality, safe and nutritional product to our customers. In the process we help communities in our farming areas thrive by educating small farmers how to implement best practices so they can get better yields and better quality on their dates so they can make an honest prosperous way of living for them and their families.
What We Do
We farm in the scorching Sonora desert where the high temperatures and good water supply has given us the privilege of producing fresh, healthy, organic medjool dates. We receive the dates directly from the field and we process it in our solar powered packing house. We first sort them by the grade of humidity and once the humidity content is right, we will sort them by quality and size making sure we get a consistent pack every time. We understand the importance of taking care of the environment that’s why we don’t only take care of our irrigation practices to save water or reduce our carbon footprint with our solar powered packing house. We have developed a 99% plastic free pack, so we reduce our plastic waste.

Organic Nature of Dates
Did you know it takes more than 300 days to make an organic, delicious, fresh date? Once we finish harvesting our date palms during the months of September and October we start preparing for our next season. It takes 10 months of hard work during the freezing winter mornings and the summer days with temperatures higher than 100 degrees for a date palm to complete its cycle. This is one of the reasons we are so passionate about dates, it takes patience, dedication and hard work to get this precious fruit from our farms to your table.
